Dear Students,

It is indeed my proud privilege to write a few lines in the College prospectus for the young knowledge seekers of the region.

At the outset I would like to congratulate all the students for their success in the last final examination. I am extremely happy to convey my heartfelt thanks to you and your family for choosing this Institute as your holy shrine of Higher Education.

The College provides a framework for the boys and girls to grow as responsible citizens. Our sports facilities and extra-curricular activities allows the students to succeed both inside and outside the classroom. We welcome all the new students who trusted this Institution with high hopes and aspirations for building their career. I hope that the students will develop themselves mentally, physically and spiritually in our healthy academic atmosphere and in the long run every one of them will turn out to be an intelligent citizen with greater social involvement.

The progress of the college is no doubt slow but it is steadily marching towards excellence. Every year students are passing with Honours on different subjects.

In 2010-2011 session Srimati Manidipa Goswami, a student of B.A 3rd Arts (Bengali Honours) attained the First Class First Position Under Assam University, Silchar. During the same session Sri Ashim Kumar Das secured First Division in Commerce under the same University. Remarkably three students received The Amul Vidya Bhusan Award in 2009 and one in 2011 for their outstanding performances in the Higher Secondary Final Examinations. The Award is instituted by Amul sagar,Gujrat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd. This reflects the sincerity and dedication of the teachers as well as the students. We are nurturing the poor and mediocre and in turn harvesting a talented alround developed progeny.

The prospectus will provide detailed information regarding courses offered by the College, admission procedure, rules and regulations, academic and co-curricular facilities available in the College. I do expect you to abide by the rules and regulations of the College and uphold the name and fame of this Institution and in return we assure you to provide quality education.
