AN OATH FOR THE STUDENTS

India is my country. All Indians are my brothers and sisters. I love my country and I am proud of its rich and varied heritage. I shall always strive to be worthy of it. I shall give my parents, teachers and all elders respect and treat every one with courtesy. To my country and my people, I pledge my devotion. In their well being lies my happiness.

From the Desk of the Principal - Annual Youth Festival & Sports Meet, 2012-2013

At the very outset, I would like to express my thanks and gratitude to the Government of Assam, for sponsoring such an event as Youth Festival & Sports Meet. As you all know, we have stepped into the 21st century where technological skill and advancement has taken the front seat, but at the same time we must remember the great leaders of India who strove hard to give a definite shape to the future of India. I think that the decision of the Government of Assam to sponsor such an event is quite in conformity with the 150th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, the great seer and leader of India. Such events - Youth Festival & Sports Meet helps to foster, develop and promote leadership qualities in the students, who are actually the future leader of India. The organization of the event in our college has been an inspiration experience for me as well as the students of our college. The monetary grant by the Government has been utilized in organizing various events and competitions and this was done keeping in mind the varied interests of the students. The students were very enthusiastic and demanded that such events be organized every year.
