Writing competition
Organised on 27th January, 2021
The
Department of English, Radhamadhab College, as part of
its Departmental Activities for the session 2020-2021,
conducted two competition programmes, one Essay Writing
Competition and another Poster Writing Competition on
27th January, 2021. The competitions were successfully
closed with an elaborate prize distribution ceremony
organized by the Department. The students from all
classes – from H.S.1st year to Degree classes
participated in the Competitions and were acknowledged
irrespective of their winning positions in the same. The
Department of English has felt an urge to develop a
sense of awareness regarding the causes and consequences
of the most alarming onslaught of Covid19 pandemic which
has invariably affected the academic front of all
educational institutions across the globe. Students,
being the most vulnerable victims of this all-pervading
disaster should try to address the challenges and
hardships that have made decisive impact upon their
front. Keeping such arguments and purviews in mind, the
Department has launched the mentioned Departmental
competitions.
Dr. Sonali
Choudhury (Biswas) and Smt. Swarnali Roy Choudhury,
Assistant Professor from the Department of Philosophy
remained the two esteemed judges who evaluated the
competitions. Prizes and certificates were distributed
among both the winners and the participants and the
judges were felicitated with tokens of appreciation.
The programme
was honoured by the honorable Principal of Radhamadhab
College, Dr. Debashish Roy and the IQAC Coordinators,
Sri Sudarshan Gupta, Sri Anurabha Bhattacharjee and Dr.
Sonali Choudhury (Biswas). The programme was compared by
the Head of the Department of English, Smt. Arundhati
Dutta Choudhury. The vote of thanks was delivered by Sri
Arunabha Bhattacharjee, a senior faculty of the
Department. The programme was successfully coordinated
by the two guest faculties of the Department of English,
Smt. Anushaka Chakraborty and Smt. Prerna Bhattacharjee. |
